É possível fazer downgrade de kernel no fedora?

Fala família, estou em um dilema, tenho um bluetooth usb que sempre funcionou bem no meu Pc, mas antes eu usava só windows, quando migrei pro linux percebi que somente o zorin os e o deepin reconhece o bluetooth usb notei que ambas as distros estão com o kernel 5.15, como eu quero muito usar o gnome 44, gostaria de saber se é possível trocar o kernel do fedora.

Tem alguns COPR’s com kernel LTS. Dá uma olhada no xanmod e no kernel lts. É mais fácil que compilar, mas escolha com cuidado.

COPR é como se fosse um repositório de terceiro para o fedora.

Um tempo atrás eu usei o COPR do rmnscnce xanmod, que te oferece kernel personalizado.

Tem o LTS aí, é só instalar e usar.

Faça por sua conta em risco, a parte da segurança não tem muito como garantir já que não é 100% oficial do fedora.

@Rayan_Monteiro Não importa qual kernel Linux que vc compile(Xanmod, Liquorix Kernel ou kernel.org[original]), o que importa é que vc terá que compilar o driver do seu Bluetooth.

Olá!

Como já dito por colegas anteriormente um caminho mais fácil é realmente usar o kernel LTS do Alexandre o XanMod kernel que inclusive é bem testado. Daí terá mesmo é ver como habilitar o repo via cpor e instalar.

Agora, antes disso é interessante ver qual é so seu dispositivo bluetooth. Talvez seja possível instalar o driver adequadamente sem precisar mudar ou trocar o kernel padrão do Fedora. E isso é o melhor caminho em termos de manter a distro natural e alinhada.

Busque um post “como fornecer boas informações” e somado a isso, busque os posts de como identificar as informações do adaptador bluetooth (tem vários que eu participei tbm ajudando em casos similares). Daí trazendo as informações pode ser que rapidamente seja viável fazer com o device funcione.

to começando a achar que terei que comprar um bluetooth usb específico só pra usar no fedora, não quero mais ficar pulando de distro, o fedora roda bem no meu Pc e mesmo sendo uma distro que sempre trás novidades, pra mim me parece uma distro muito estável sem precisar ser uma LTS

O mais garantido é comprar sim um BT novo mas de marca confiável que vai ter chipset “registrado” é que bluetooth é um tecnologia fechada e a grande maioria dos dongles usam cópias do CSR original e em Linux há tempos que eles vem meio que removendo a compatibilidade dos paralelos no kernel. Não que seja impossível, mas precisa ir catando informação até de fato saber que modelo ele copia, e assim “tirar da blacklist” e deixar o kernel carregar o driver pra usarr ele.

eu vou fazer isso msm pq já está me dando muita dor de cabeça, tenho muitos cursos pra assistir e sem som me atrapalha, vou pesquisar um usb bluetooth especificamente pro fedora que ai eu compro já sabendo que vai funcionar
