Nemo share vs Samba com autenticação

Usando o linux mint 20.2 x64 X11

Qual a forma correta de configurar o Samba no compartilhamento de pastas do Nemo? Não achei uma opção para criar um usuário e senha…

ex: criei uma pasta chamada ‘share’ na área de trabalho, nessa pasta no botão direito do mouse > propriedades> compartilhar:
ativo a opção compartilhar esta pasta
marco apenas a opção permitir que outras pessoas criem e excluam arquivos nesta pasta

Exibe um aviso:

como fazer para eu poder acessar essa pasta compartilhada de qualquer dispositivo da rede usando nome de usuário e senha de forma correta e segura?

ex: eu acesso no android pelo app file manager plus > em acesso remoto

se no nemo eu marco a opção acesso anônimo, eu consigo acessar pelo apk de forma anonima essa pasta compartilhada.
Se eu desmarco essa opção e reinicio o pc, já não tenho mais acesso a essa pasta pelo apk android.
Se eu coloco o nome de usuário e senha do usuário do mint no apk android também não tenho permissão de acesso a pasta compartilhada


Eu vejo vários tutoriais falando pra editar o arquivo ‘/etc/samba/smb.conf’

porém se executar smbpasswd com o nome de usuário do mint e definir uma senha para o samba
sudo smbpasswd -a teste

e voltar ao apk android e colocar senha e usuário ao logar, consigo acessar os arquivos do PC como esperado. Mas sem ter feito nehuma edição no arquivo ‘/etc/samba/smb.conf’, isso é certo?

Qual a forma correta de colocar adicionar um nome de usuário e senha no compartilhamento do nemo? Precisa alguma outra cofiguração de segurança? Eu deveria criar algum grupo do samba?

E se no arquivo samba.conf você colocar, abaixo da linha WORKGROUP algo como

force user = teste

Pelo que vi, “teste” é o seu usuário, se não for, troque pelo que é o correto.

Depois denta reiniciar o serviço do samba, ou reiniciar o computador em si:

sudo service smbd restart

Pode ser interessante definir uma senha para o seu usuário no samba também, mas faz o teste antes pra ver se funciona:

sudo smbpasswd -a teste

Mais uma vez, considerando que “teste” seja o seu nome de usuário de fato.

Sim um dos meus usuários é ‘teste’.
Agora criei outro usuário administrador com o nome ‘novo’, e adicionei ao grupo sambashare,
$usermod -a -G sambashare novo
reiniciei o pc

criei uma nova pasta compartilhada com outro nome (tem um bug não permite o mesmo nome de pasta que outro usuário já criou antes)
reiniciei o pc

adicionei o comando sugerido abaixo de WORKGROUP no arquivo ‘/etc/samba/smb.conf’

force user = novo

reiniciei o pc novamente


fui no android e tentei acessar a pasta compartilhada com nome de usuário ‘novo’ e senha dele no mint.

porem dessa maneira ainda dá acesso negado.
E ainda aparece a mensagem no nemo ‘permission for wrong’


obs: Eu tenho acesso a pasta compartilhada se eu incluir o usuário do mint no password do samba e definir uma senha qualquer através desse comando:

sudo smbpasswd -a novo

aí com esse user e senha criado assim, consigo configurar o apk do android.


Acho que não fui muito claro na minha perguta, minha dúvida é quanto ao arquivo ‘/etc/samba/smb.conf’ eu preciso fazer alguma modificação nesse arquivo em questões de compartilhar de forma correta ou mesmo de segurança? Pois todos tutoriais de samba na net falam pra editar esse arquivo, e o nemo faz o compartilhamento e não altera esse arquivo.
Por segurança eu preciso criar algum grupo nesse arquivo, definir algum usuário ali ou outra coisa?

O que eu achei confuso foi q o nemo não alterou o arquivo ‘/etc/samba/smb.conf’, então pra que ele serve?

pois ao fazer o compartilhamento no nemo ele dá essa mensagem de ‘permission for Wrong’ , o que será que tem de errado? é seguro usar o nemo para fazer o compartilhamento de pastas ou devo editar o samba os arquivos de configuração manunalmente?

Oi, teoricamente esse erro não era nem pra acontecer ao tentar compartilhar algo através do Nemo e você não precisaria fazer alterações diretamente no servidor samba. Sobre a mensagem de erro, parece ser algo específico do Linux Mint, pelo que pesquisei agora, talvez seja o caso de abrir uma issue no github do Nemo ou do Cinnamon (não tenha certeza se são separados)

Outra forma de compartilhar arquivos, seria usando o Warpinator que o Linux Mint carrega, não sei se ele atende o seu propósito, mas pode ser uma forma.
